Zereno Live in Concert – Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026
October 10 @ 7:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Zereno is a Valley band. Saturday, October 10, they play like one.
Forty years of Tejano. Accordion up front. The songs people still shout from the floor. That is the night at Mustang Lounge Bar in Weslaco — cover $20, doors at 7:00 PM.
Zereno came out of the Rio Grande Valley in the mid-1980s and never left the sound. Founder Jesse Cavazos on accordion. The first records on National Records. Then “Mi Amiga,” written by Armando San Roman, the one that made them a name and still gets treated like a Tejano classic. “Hermoso Día.” “El Teléfono.” “Te Vas Con Él.” “Con el Agua Hasta el Cuello.” They played the Johnny Canales Show live in Hidalgo. They have already packed this building. They still cut new sides — “Para No Pensar En Ti,” “Tú Me Enseñaste” — because the catalog is not a museum set.
If you grew up on Valley Tejano radio, you already know the first three songs. If you have never seen them live, this is the $20 Saturday to fix that.
Do not stroll in at 10:00 and act surprised the tables are gone.
