Saturday, October 17, 2026, Mustang Lounge Bar stacks a Valley country band and a Tejano front man on the same night — Deuces Wild Band and Chavalon, The Prince of Tejano.
Deuces Wild is the Edinburg-based country outfit that also rips Tejano and norteño when the floor asks for it. Fiddle. Guitars. Honky-tonk energy. If you have caught them at Hillbilly’s, Mel’s, San Benito, or a UTRGV tailgate, you already know they play like a bar band that actually wants the room dancing. Country first. Tejano on request. No dead air.
Then Chavalon takes it the other direction. El Chavalon — The Prince of Tejano — is the suited-up vocalist who already tore this stage up with Sergio Ropin’ The Wind earlier this year. Despierto. Te Extraño. El Mundo Entero. Always On My Mind. Dices. Romantic Tejano with a live band behind it, the kind of set couples stay on the floor for.
That is the Saturday: boots and Tejano in the same room, $10 at the door. Bring a crew that can handle both.
