Jesse Perez y sus Compadres Alegres & Conjunto Cats – Noche de Puro Sabor | Saturday, Dec. 19
December 19 @ 7:00 pm – 11:30 pm
Noche de puro sabor. That is the poster. That is the night.
Jesse Perez y sus Compadres Alegres and Conjunto Cats take Mustang Lounge Bar on Saturday, December 19, 2026. Two conjunto bands. Two accordions. Entry $25. Doors at 7:00 PM.
Jesse Perez y sus Compadres Alegres is the Valley half of the bill. Pure 956 conjunto. They played the Tejano Conjunto Festival in San Antonio and brought the Rio Grande Valley sound with them. “La Martina.” “La Hielera.” “Piquetes de Hormiga.” “La Barranca Polka.” “El Laurel,” the Ruben Vela song, played the way the Valley still dances to it. They took New & Upcoming Conjunto Band of the Year at the Guadalupe Conjunto Awards. The videos pull hundreds of thousands of views because the accordion is real and the floor knows it.
Conjunto Cats is the Seguin family band. Art Campos on bajo and vocals. His sons Zeke on accordion and Diego on bass. Nathan Alzalde on drums. Two generations keeping the conjunto going the way it was handed to them. “Contigo.” “Fíjate Mamá.” “La Regañona.” “Síguelo.” Traditional polkas and rancheras plus their own originals. They have shared stages with Ruben Ramos and packed rooms from Seguin to the Tejano Conjunto Festival circuit.
That is the Saturday: a Valley conjunto band and a Seguin family conjunto, same stage, same floor. Twenty-five dollars will not leave empty tables.
