Conjunto Cats brings their conjunto sound to Weslaco on Saturday, December 19, 2026. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Entry is $20.
The band is a family group from Seguin, Texas, led by Art Campos on bajo sexto and vocals. His sons play with him: Ezekiel “Zeke” Campos on accordion and Diego Campos on bass, with Nathan Alzalde on drums. They have been performing together for more than a decade and describe their approach as a “noticeably different sound” that still keeps the traditional conjunto core of accordion, bajo sexto, and danceable polka and cumbia rhythms. They have collaborated with Ruben Ramos, including on the track “El Gato Negro.” Recent releases include “Contigo,” “Fijate Mama,” “Siguele,” and “La Regañona.”
